As a guy, I think the top one looks way better. Just sayin’.

yeah, guy here, top looks way better

You know what’s crazy?! That some women don’t wear makeup to impress men. Some women do it because they like it. When I wear 5 different colors on my eyes with bright ass pink lipstick I KNOW that shit ain’t cute. But you know why I do it? Because makeup is about having fun and being artistic. So if you don’t like my fabulously defined eyebrows I’m okay with that, I didn’t need your approval anyways. I just think some men really need to put their egos to the side and STOP thinking that everything women do is to impress you guys.

oh my god i’m just staring at those two posts like
shock is not the right word because obviously i knew this already but
dropping in “as a guy” is just such stark demonstration of the fact that they instinctively and unquestionably believe that these things are done for their benefit and that by letting us know they are guys they establish themselves as the authority on how a girl should strive to make herself look that it kind of takes my breath away

times in which the phrase “as a guy” validates your opinion:
discussions about the solution for sweaty balls
that’s it

“As a guy”, I feel threatened and afraid to make any kind of opinion on this website ever.

As a guy you shouldn’t be telling women what they should and should not do with their bodies. As a guy you should understand that not every change a woman makes to her appearance is for your benefit. And as a guy you should try and have a little empathy and understand as to why this shit gets old for us.
Men can have opinions, men can even share those opinions. However they should not force unwanted “advice” on to complete strangers about things that have literally nothing to do with them, while simultaneously assuming it has everything to do with them.
Those 1st two guys were being presumptuous as all shit. And it gets old.
We get tired of “I know I don’t know you but you should do x, y, and, z with your appearance (Smile! wear less make up! etc) because I think that makes you more visually appealing” We get tired of men assuming that every goddamned tiny little tweak that we make to our appearance is to please them, we get tired of men thinking out entire purpose in life is to be visually appealing to them.
So I am sorry if you feel “threatened” to “make opinions” because women have started to put their foot down and say no to this bullshit, but we really aren’t just going to put up with this shit because of your fee-fees. Sorry for ya bub, but you’re just gonna have to deal.

~As a woman~, I’m fucking tired of guys thinking their opinions of women’s appearance matter and that they have a right to just impose it. Spoiler: none of us are doing it for you. I’ve had assholes like those first two guys come up to me IRL and say similar shit and the presumptuousness involved is literally so staggering that I was too dumbfounded to say anything because I could not get over the idea that FOR SOME REASON THEY THINK WOMEN DRESS/STYLE THEMSELVES FOR MEN.
We don’t.
End of story.

Both genders do this. Is it okay to identify my gender then form an opinion on visual? Because I’m my gender no matter what. I’m TELLING you all that I’m a guy, so perhaps I don’t actually know what’s going on here, and then stating an opinion.  People make these kinds of calls pretty much every time we see anything. Personally, I try to keep quiet and not anger anyone, so I tend to keep opinions to myself. In this case, however, I wanted to pose the point that perhaps we could be kinder about informing people who had no ill intent and have done minimal, if any, harm. That said, any guy who assumes that women exist for him is a tool and I shall gleefully run him over in a golf cart. Objectification=not cool, people.Just tryin to perhaps have a kinder Tumblr experience, hope I didn’t offend nobody.
